Family and Individual Support Program
Assists people to cope with difficult and stressful life experiences by providing information, counselling and advocacy. This assistance focuses on strengthening and
supporting people based on individual needs. We also seek to develop a network of community support, referral and self-help services with a preventative and educative emphasis.
What do we offer?
Most people, at some point in their lives, face significant life challenges and changes. This program provides assistance to individuals and families experiencing social isolation, economic hardship or emotional crises.
People accessing the service will be supported by the Family Support Worker to identify their needs and
access supports in their local community. People access the service for a variety of reasons so it is a flexible, practical program tailored to fit the needs of individuals and families.
The service includes:
• Information, counselling and referral
• Parenting and relationship advice
• Assistance with household and financial
management
• Crisis Counselling
• Housing options and information
• Self help, community education and support groups
• Emergency Relief Services including:
• Food Vouchers
• No Interest Loans
• Christmas Food and Toy Drive
Who is eligible for this service?
The service is open to anyone living in the Inner Western suburbs. Individuals, families or other service providers can access the service by
contacting the Service Coordinator.
