Know someone who deserves a CAN award?

Posted on Oct 2, 2013

The CAN Awards recognise and celebrate the work undertaken in the community, private and public sectors to achieve social justice and equity in the inner city of Brisbane. The first CAN Awards were held in 1997, honouring people and organizations for their work, passion and leadership in the community. Now in their 16th year, the CAN Awards continue to shine a light on the inner city.

Anyone can make a nomination and winners are decided by a panel of independent community leaders and announced on the night. These awards are proudly facilitated by the New Farm Neighbourhood Centre.

Nominations can be for an individual, program, business, government body, institution or community group and proposers are welcome to submit more than one nomination.

To nominate someone or an organisation that you know, click here to complete a form online or pick up a form from the New Farm Neighbourhood Centre, The Exchange or the Westpac New Farm branch.

Nominations close 30th October 5pm and the winners will be announced at the CAN Awards ceremony held:
Monday 11th November, 2013 5:30pm New Farm Neighbourhood Centre (Community Hall)
