The No Interest Loans Scheme provides assistance to low income individuals and families to access safe and affordable credit for the purchase of white goods, essential household items, medical equipment, or items that increase the wellbeing of individuals and families.
Loans are approved on an individual basis. The loan amount is dependent on how much is required to purchase a particular item however; there is a maximum loan amount of $1200 per person. Repayments are dependent upon each person’s financial situation.
We also offer financial counselling, consumer advocacy, budgeting and purchasing advice.
Who is eligible for this service?
- Applicants need to:
• be receiving a government pension or payment
• have lived at the same address for at least six months
• live in the Inner North/North Western suburbs of Brisbane.
There are no application fees or interest charged on these loans.
