The NDIS – Get Informed
The Community Resource Unit (CRU) invites to you attend a workshop and group discussion to provide information about the NDIS and to help people think about how they can best use the opportunities offered by the new scheme. The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a new way of supporting people with a disability in Australia. The scheme will start to roll out in the Brisbane region from 1 July 2018.
The workshop is called “The NDIS – Getting Informed”. It will provide information about the why, when and how of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) in Queensland, and things you can do now to get ready. The second part of the day, called “The NDIS – Sharing Practical Strategies” is a guided conversation about practical strategies for you and others in your community to share information, prepare and make best use of the opportunities offered by the NDIS.
People with disability, family members, close friends and allies can register for the either the workshop or the conversation, or both. Light refreshments will be provided.

This is a FREE event funded by the Queensland Government, there is no cost to register however places are limited.
